Transfer update from CFCNewsPage
It's been a while, but here is the latest chatter from Instagram insider, CFCNewPage
Back with the latest transfer news as he understands, Instagram’s Chelsea insider page CFCNewsPage..
Here is what he has said..
Aurelien Tchouameni
Talks are still happening behind the scenes with Tchouameni’s camp, with the latest meeting happening last week.
As we know he is seen as the cheaper alternative to Declan Rice who still remains unlikely to leave due to West Ham being reluctant to sell their star man this summer (unless a bid of around £80m comes in for them to consider). Tchouameni would cost in the region of £35-40m.
Jules Kounde
Chelsea stepped up their pursuit for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde at the beginning of July. The player rejected a move to Tottenham due to the fact he wants to play Champions League football. He was confident in rejecting Tottenham as he was told by Chelsea they will make a move for him, which has been the case.
Kounde is ready to join Chelsea and has agreed personal terms and from his side everything is fine. It’s just about finding the best deal possible between the two clubs.
Erling Haaland
There has been no official bid yet. The £130m bid I mentioned on my IG post to “test the waters” was simply an informal bid/offer to see how BVB reacted. Whereas the £130m + 20m add on bonuses bid I mentioned is a typical Marina Granovskaia offer, who loves to try and negotiate fees down in general by including add-ons in deals to try and get the best deal possible - which does take longer. In the long-term it is definitely worth it and this is what she has been trying to do behind the scenes. Remember, football is a business!
I believe we will only hear about the official bid only if Chelsea know it will be accepted (German clubs have to announce official offers). Internally, the Blues still feel confident that they can tie down the hottest property in Europe under their number 9 jersey.
Romelu Lukaku
As I’ve mentioned previously Lukaku also remains a target for Chelsea and talks have happened behind the scenes. He is still an option for Chelsea and as reported elsewhere, things have heated back up on this potential move in recent weeks.
Tammy Abraham
As I revealed on 27th June, Arsenal are interested in signing out of favour Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham this summer.
I also mentioned that other Premier League clubs are interested which include West Ham (however Tammy’s salary is a hinging block), Aston Villa and a small interest from Tottenham.
However, his preference is to join Arsenal and are prepared to make a bid. Chelsea have also reduced his price tag from £40m to £30-35m due to The Blues’ willingness to move the player on.
Kurt Zouma
As mentioned throughout my articles, Zouma’s agent is trying to find his client a new club, due to the fact Chelsea want to sell the Frenchman this summer. He has interest from many clubs in Europe.
As we know, there is a lot of talk of Zouma being potentially used in a swap deal for Kounde, which does remain an option, but is difficult to achieve due to the fact his preference is to stay in London and many are showing interest in this area. Premier League side West Ham are showing the most interest and see him as their main CB target. Chelsea want £30m for Zouma.
Armando Broja
Broja is set to leave the club on loan again this summer, due to the fact Chelsea see this as a better option for him to aid his development by playing consistent minutes elsewhere. I’m told a move outside of England is the most likely option, as he has some offers from abroad.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek
As mentioned in my articles before, Thomas Tuchel has admired the player for a long time as they know his potential and what he can do.
However in training, from what I’m told, he hasn’t lived up to the expectations from the coaches and they feel he can do more and go the extra mile. There has been no final decision on his future yet, but as of now the feeling is he is likely to go on loan again. Many of the same Premier League sides from last summer have regained their interest in the player.
Ross Barkley
Barkley is another player who looks set to leave again this summer. Despite impressing in training in the last weeks, he isn’t seen as a player who will improve on what Chelsea have got already. Newcastle United have shown interest, whilst David Moyes has always been an admirer of the player.
Tino Livramento
As reported elsewhere, Southampton have beaten Brighton to the signature of Chelsea academy full-back Tino Livramento, who turned down a new contract extension with Chelsea. Southampton will pay a fee believed to be around £5m. I was told a couple of weeks back by one source that the hold up to this deal is that Chelea wanted to insert a buy-back and sell-on clause which is now the case. The buy-back clause is between £25m-30m, however the sell ons will reduce the figure to £20-25m.
