Time for Todd Boehly to give us some answers on Vivid Seats, Stamford Bridge build: What needs to happen? SPTC's Best 120 Xl, Jackson must be converted to the wing, CW's big comeback, Much more...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Friday 28th March 2025!
Morning all,
Happy Friday!
First of all, and I know I need to find more time to cover the Women’s but it’s just impossible right now, but a massive congratulations to Chelsea Women’s who produced a huge comeback for the ages last night! They beat Manchester City 3-0 on the night to overturn a 2-0 deficit from the first leg to reach the Champions League semi-finals. Simply incredible this team, it was never in doubt!!
No Chelsea Men’s again this weekend as The Blues continue with their 2 and a half weeks off. We get a bit of extra time off due to it being FA Cup weekend and we were obviously prematurely knocked out of that.
So we have some footy to watch at least this weekend, and a bunch more Chelsea content to read on here today. You can start with a listen actually, with our latest Podcast coming out yesterday here.
You can then round up all of your latest Chelsea news in the same place here, covering every bit of news out across the last 24 hours.
Some situations have come out this week that have been much talked about. One is the ticket touting issue with Vivid Seats that Todd Boehly is involved with. The Chelsea Supporters’ Trust have gotten involved in that this week, and it’s not a good look for Boehly at all. I’ve got words on that and the whole situation here.
The next big thing is the Stamford Bridge build/rebuild/relocation. Everyone is giving their opinions on this and what they want to see happen. I have given mine here, as well as asked for yours in a poll. It’s a sensitive subject for some, but for me, there is only one real option.
Meanwhile, it is time to reveal our SPTC Chelsea team of 120. Everyone else had been doing it, but we have now picked the very best ever Chelsea Xl in here, and I am so proud of you all for picking this lineup!
The final article of the week is on Nicolas Jackson, who has been back in full training this week ahead of our next game against Tottenham on Thursday. Jackson for me is always going to be better as a wider player or a second striker, and others believe this too. I’ve got some external words and my own words on it all here. It just makes a lot of sense to me.
Have a good weekend all. I’ll see you all back on the site on Sunday!
Peace, Si.
Massive congrats to the ladies.... It was thrilling to watch and see the psss
On Boehly and Vivid seats. Coming from a Chelsea fan from the US, Tickets are just handled differently in the States. Vivid is like the 3rd most popular site in the US. It’s not really the Vivid that sets the prices, it allows the holder of tickets to price it as the user feels they want to. Give just gets a percentage of any sale. It’s up to any of us who purchase tickets and can’t go to sell for how ever much we want. It’s also important to note that you can grab last minutes tickets for things at a very discounted rate when people are scrambling to get anything.
There has been some musicians mostly who have pushed back on sites for shows, (Ticketmaster) is by far the biggest one here, but I don’t see it going away.
If it is Illegal, Vivid should absolutely not list games at certain places or for the entire premier league in general as an option and marketplace.that should be the main issue.
When coming to the England and looking for tickets for a game at Stamford Bridge, I have a hell of a time trying to actually go. The process through the fan club for tickets is still very difficult for us so I’m sure we (foreign fans) contribute to the problem. I just know that I had one weekend and one shot to go, and I would be willing to pay more to do it. Hopefully I get a chance to go about things in the proper way when I try to go in September.
