Happy weekend!

Chelsea are in action on Saturday night and I realised I’ve been so annoyed this week that I didn’t even do a match preview! I also had three BIG sourced articles that I needed to put out today 👀

Chelsea play away against Aston Villa for the 8pm kick off this Saturday night. I’ll setup the live match discussion thread on the Substack App in the chat section, and I’ll be back on Sunday morning to review the game. I have ZERO confidence and expectations.

Before we get to the sourced stuff, I have gone on a bit of a rant I guess with my ‘old school’ opinion to finish off the week. It’s all based around reports suggesting there would be a player backlash if Mauricio Pochettino was sacked. To make it at Chelsea, you need to be a mentality monster, and I am sick of the molly coddling. I explain here why we need our manager to use tough love rather than constantly holding player’s hands. These are not teenagers, they are fully grown adults.

Speaking of rants, we have a bonus article today. Chelsea season ticket holder Danny Windsor is back with a contribution, and he has not held back in this one! Must read on the problems at Chelsea here. I think he’s spot on with a lot of this.

Let’s crack on with the sourced stuff then, and they are all based around the summer transfer window that is now fast approaching.
