THREE big sourced articles on Osimhen, Toney, Santos, Barco, Davies, Cucurella, Lampard, and MORE! The Debrief: Chelsea 4 Preston 0, Plus full news updates from Sunday!
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Sunday 8th January 2024!
Morning all,
Just to let you all know today first and foremost I am away for the afternoon and a big part of the early evening. So I’ll start the live blog and run it in the morning today, but I will have to jump back on it later in the evening to fill in all the updates after that.
Chelsea beat Preston 4-0 in the FA Cup third round on Saturday evening and although the scoreline and the second half was impressive, the first half was the total opposite. Preston pushed us and played well, so respect to them for that. But I noticed many tactical issues from Mauricio Pochettino that I have highlighted in my match debrief article here. Player ratings and full review in this too.
Roundup all the rest of Sunday’s Chelsea news and more reactions from the game in here. Any new transfer rumours and added sourced info can be found in this.
THREE big sourced articles now to round things up for this newsletter.
The first one, and probably the most important one right now, is updates on Chelsea’s striker plans. Will they bring one in this month? Is Victor Osimhen even open to joining Chelsea? Will a move for Ivan Toney finally ignite? I have all of that and so much more covered in this one here.
There is also a situation right now with Andrey Santos. He’s been recalled from his disastrous loan from Nottingham Forest and he is back training under Pochettino in Chelsea’s first team squad. So what next for Santos? I answer that and explain what the club are thinking in here.
And the final sourced article of this newsletter is mainly on the left back situation, putting out fresh sourced info on Marc Cucurella, Alphonso Davies, and many more names here. Also in this, bonus Frank Lampard sourced content! Random? Absolutely.
Right, I’ll fire up the blog shortly, and will be on there for as long as I can be this morning!
Peace, Si.
