Happy hump day, and today is an even better hump day because Chelsea are playing football tonight!
The Blues head to Southampton for our next Premier League match as the busy festive period begins. The Saints are currently rock bottom of the Premier League, and Chelsea have momentum on their side. Do I expect any issues and what is our predicted lineup for tonight? That and much more in here.
I can’t actually watch it live tonight as I have football myself, so the main man Luke Rushbrook will be doing our report and ratings tonight, so do look out for that up on the site soon after the full time whistle.
Meanwhile, Nicolas Jackson has been enjoying some very much deserved praise this season, and I wanted to add a bit of mine. I call things how I see them, and Jackson hasn’t always completely convinced me, I’ve been honest with that. But I want to also acknowledge just how good he has been so far this season and highlight the one most encouraging thing that I have noticed the most, and it’s nothing to do with his play. Cole Palmer has been a little quieter in some recent matches as he has struggled to deal with being man marked at times. He’s been far from bad though, and even though he was ‘quiet’, he is still absolutely bossing the data charts across Europe’s top five leagues. Some analysis and stats in here!
