SPTC Group Chat: Summer Predictions

An insight into our thoughts and we want to hear yours....

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gents,

Today I am bringing you something different, an insight into the infamous SPTC Group Chat.

For those of you who don’t listen to the podcast where it is regularly mentioned the group chat consists of Simon, Jai Danny and myself.

This is the last week until early September where transfer talk will be on the back burner and somewhat hypothetical, because once the season ends it’ll be full focus until the window closes for most.

So I asked the boys a Hypothetical question around transfers, I asked each of them to predict these 5 transfer outcomes.

1. Big-Name Signing - Who will be the most expensive or high-profile signing Chelsea make this summer?

2. Surprise Departure - Which current first team player will be unexpectedly sold or loaned?

3. Breakout Signing - Which new addition to the 25/26 squad will end up being the best long-term addition?

4. Priority Position - What position will Chelsea spend the most money on this summer?

5. Wildcard Move - Predict 1 unexpected move (shock transfer, surprise loan return, signing from a random team/league etc.)

Just to clarify these are all hypothetical predictions and not done on any inside knowledge or anything along those lines, ALSO the boys predictions were made on Tuesday in case any rumours etc have been squashed since.

Here is what we all predicted;

Danny;

1. Big-Name Signing - Rodrygo

2. Surprise Departure - Malo Gusto

3. Breakout Signing - Estevao with an honourable mention of Essugo

4. Priority Position - Has to be Number 9

5. Wildcard Move - If we do not sign a GK, Penders will become our number 1.

Jai;

1. Big-Name Signing - Victor Osimhen

2. Surprise Departure - Noni Madueke

3. Breakout Signing - Andrey Santos and Estevao

4. Priority Position - Striker, or Wide attacker if Rodrygo is continually linked

5. Wildcard Move - Hopefully something interesting (dull answer from Jai)

Simon;

1. Big-Name Signing - Victor Osimhen (if we get UCL football)

2. Surprise Departure - Djordje Petrovic

3. Breakout Signing - Jorrel Hato

4. Priority Position - Striker

5. Wildcard Move - Rodrygo

Luke;

1. Big-Name Signing - Victor Osimhen

2. Surprise Departure - Nicolas Jackson

3. Breakout Signing - Estevao

4. Priority Position - Striker and Centre Back

5. Wildcard Move - Bradley Barcola

Like I say this is all purely lighthearted and fun from me and the boys and we are interested in your predictions and how out there you can be.

I think it is going to be a long and intriguing summer for us as Chelsea fans and pretty much anything could happen, lets hope we finish with a win on Sunday, secure UCL and then win The Conference League next week!
