This week, Chelsea began reaching out to agents of possible new manager hires for the end of the season.

It is true that Chelsea have a wide range shortlist of possible names they are weighing up, with some of those names already being approached. Next step will be face to face interviews after initial discussions with agents to gauge interest.

Earlier this week, we reported that Chelsea reached out to the reps of Andoni Iraola and Xabi Alonso, with them sharing the same agent.

This was to find out whether there would be any interest on their side. We reported that Iraola was up for a conversation about the role, but we were yet to hear what the response was from Alonso.
