The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Wednesday 4th February 2025!
Morning all!
The transfer window is now over, which I am sure many of you are actually quite relieved about now seeing as how it went, but the games continue.
The Blues face Brighton in the FA Cup 4th round on Saturday afternoon, so we will start building up to that one this week. We will then face them in the league just 6 days later!
Of course, with the transfer window being so fresh in our minds, some spin off articles from that is the basis of our content today. But before we get to that, have a check in on yesterday’s live blog here to get all your latest general Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours in the same place.
So one of the biggest issues of this transfer window is that we have now just set ourselves up to be stupidly busy in the summer with so many players to sell once again, and gaping holes still in this squad. A look into how they just let another transfer window roll onto the next one in here. This is my main transfer window review article.
The next one is around the ownership and sporting directors on the whole and how the project in my opinion, is failing. That might seem extreme for me to say that at this stage in the season, but I don’t think it is extreme to fix it and all it needs is tweaking and balance. I find is SO damn frustrating that they remain SO stubborn with their ‘vision’ and the fact we are SO close to actually getting it right if we just veer away ever so slightly on their plans. Words on that in here.
Leading on from that, would you want the sporting directors to be sacked right now? A lot of Chelsea fans are calling for this. What is your general feeling on them and the owners, as well as Enzo Maresca and how things are going so far? A big set of polls for you all to take part in and give your views here.
Finally, and this one would have already dropped into your emails yesterday, a look into what the club tried and considered doing in the January window. There were many situations that they tried for, and they genuinely looked to bring in a new striker. All the names and what happened via our sources here. Some of these could easily be revisited in the summer for sure.
Live blogs will still be running even though they will lack the frantic transfer rumours. Still, join us for discussion and all your general Chelsea news as it comes live on the home page from around 8.30am today. Today as always on a Wednesday I will start up the blog but won’t be on it until after midday and even then it will be intermittent updates as I have my boy today.
Peace, Si.
