Sources: What next for Chelsea after two quick agreed deals?
The Blues have been busy this week
Chelsea worked fast on a deal to sign Joao Pedro from Brighton over the weekend because of the fact that Newcastle were pushing hardest and had actually already agreed a fee.
Once Chelsea seriously pushed, Pedro only wanted to join us and Blues officials worked quick to get it done.
On Sunday, it was Sam Jewell, who was the one who bought him Pedro to Brighton in the first place, that got the final details of the deal done and bought Pedro to Chelsea.
It comes after we had the agreed deal for Jamie Gittens to join from Dortmund as well. But Chelsea are not finishing here.
With Gittens, it might not have been ‘quick’ and it does look like we’ve ended up paying Dortmund’s fee that they demanded all along, but he did chose Chelsea over Bayern and this will rightfully be seen as a big win.
