Sources: What is going on with Cole Palmer, plus others not enjoying their roles? Chelsea should move for Mateta, Gittens to Chelsea feels inevitable, What CB do YOU want to see arrive? Much more....
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Tuesday 29th April 2025!
Morning all,
Hope you’re having a good one so far. We are enjoying some glorious weather in the UK this week, a pleasant surprise!
To the Chelsea content now and as always, we have five big articles for you today.
First of all, round up all your latest general Chelsea news across a host of outlets and sources here covering transfer news, quotes, interviews and much more.
I had a sourced article out yesterday focusing on the poor form of Cole Palmer and looking into why he is suffering this season. There are a few elements to this, but there’s a chunk of players just not really enjoying their football under Enzo Maresca unfortunately, and I have a couple more names in here too.
Some transfer bits now, and it just feels like Jamie Gittens to Chelsea is inevitable this summer. There is an opportunity to do some trade deals with Dortmund, and this one just has a feel of being destined to happen. Words on that here and a chance for you to drop your views on it.
John Obi Mikel says Victor Osimhen wants to join Chelsea, but it is not quite as simple as that. Osimhen is the perfect profile of striker that we need, but if we cannot land him, then Jean-Philippe Mateta is a profile I could certainly get behind. A few people out there championing a move for him right now, and we have given our thoughts as a community here.
And onto centre backs again now after our sourced report updates on them yesterday. What CB do YOU want to see arrive this summer? Should we sign two of them? Which CBs would you sell? You can answer all of that in our interactive poll article on CBs here.
See you all on the next live blog around 8.30am!
Peace, Si.
Maresca is destroying Palmer with his rigid, unimaginative tactics and coaching. This might be the issue that pushes Clearlake to pull the plug on him. They dont like seeing their assets devalued, and to them Palmer is no more than an asset.
