Unravelling some plans and club understanding importance of experience
The lack of experience and proven players in Chelsea’s current squad has become a big debate, and we actually have our man Will Reyner doing an article on that very subject today.
A lot of former Chelsea players, pundits, and fans have been mentioning it, and I have even mentioned it here. I personally believe that we should have balanced out our squad more with some proven players this summer, something that Mauricio Pochettino clearly wanted as well.
But anyway, this is a sourced article and not an opinion article, so onto the news…
What is the vision?
I’m told Chelsea wanted to build a young base core of the squad this summer as the focal point to the squad for the now, and for the future. They didn’t want to sign any players over the age of 25 this summer when building up their new squad from the bottom.
