The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Monday 13th May 2024!
Morning all!
I hope you had a great weekend, which of course would have been made better by a Chelsea win, and for those in the UK, some lovely sunny weather! I definitely smelt many BBQs walking around on Saturday - it was glorious!
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s resident chef Cole Palmer was also cooking up a treat on Saturday night, and his food was too hot for Nottingham Forest to handle. Palmer didn’t score for once, but he did deservedly get named Man of the Match. I thought he was ace, but I picked another player for my MOTM on Saturday, and you can find out who that is and much more in my match preview and reflections article here, which rates the manager and players individually too.
It’s one of those newsletters where I just randomly throw THREE big sourced articles at you all!
Gareth Southgate to Chelsea anyone? Say what? Southgate to Chelsea? Surely not? SURELY NOT!? Find out in my first sourced article of the day here!
Some sourced outgoing news next up.
Raheem Sterling will have more and more speculation about his Chelsea future this summer, and it could genuinely be a move away that happens. But there are a few variables and situations in this one here.
The final sourced article for this newsletter is on the future of 20-year-old one of our own, Alfie Gilchrist. Many have thought that we might sell him for pure profit this summer. Is that the case? Find out in my inside report on that here.
And finally, to see out today, round up all your general Chelsea news from yesterday in one place here. Transfer rumours, quotes, more reactions from the Forest win, and much more in this! Also, some interesting quotes from David Ornstein, and David Datro Fofana 👀
See you all on the live blog from around 8.30am today!
Peace, Si.
