Sources: Pochettino's transfer power and transfer plans, Eden Hazard - the irreplaceable legend, Striker situation - Broja and Jackson enough? Loan army roundup, And much more...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Thursday 12th October 2023!
Morning all!
This week has very much been all about Eden Hazard, and it’s been great to see Chelsea fans taking over social media with their tributes to the legend.
Today, it is my turn to write my tribute to Eden. We all have our memories of him as a player and for me, I have focused on how we simply will never see another Eden Hazard and how trying to replace him has just been a waste of time. My full tribute with images and videos here.
I also had a big sourced article out yesterday based around how Mauricio Pochettino will be more involved in transfer decisions going forward. But this isn’t necessarily a new thing, although there are some key differences. I explain it all and what plans Poch has for January in here.
We have the excellent Will Reyner’s weekly column for us next, and Will has honed in on the striker situation. Chelsea are looking at potential new strikers for January, but what about the future of Armando Broja? And will Nicolas Jackson and Broja be enough if that become the scenario? A lot to dissect in here.
Our own Luke Rushbrook is back from his holiday this week and that is great news for us all! We have Luke’s content back, and today he jumps back in with his latest popular loan army roundup article! You can check that one out here.
Finally for today, round up all your Chelsea news from yesterday in the same place here.
This evening, myself and Jai will be recording the latest Podcast episode. We will talk about many of the above situations, as well as looking back at the Burnley game and looking ahead to the rest of the season and this tough run we have coming up. That will be out around 6pm today UK time.
I’ll be on the live blog from 8am as usual this morning, see you all there!
Peace, Si.
Si any chance you can put the contributors link through to Twitter together at the end of the daily news piece together because every time I fall for it going through to a link I’m not interested in I just want to read the article.
I fully appreciate the point of promoting them but hey if it’s counter productive then it annoys people.
