Chelsea announced former Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca as their new head coach on Monday afternoon after parting ways with Mauricio Pochettino at the end of the season.

The Maresca appointment has been greeted with real caution to say the very least from the majority of the Chelsea fan base, many of whom believe this is a massive risk that is likely to backfire.

Reports have come out since Pochettino left the club suggesting that the players are unhappy. It is correct that the players on the whole enjoyed very good relations with Pochettino and were upset to see him leave the club. However, they understand that this was a mutual decision and it wasn’t a case of the Argentine being pushed out of the club.
