The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Wednesday 7th August 2024!
Morning all,
Hope you’re all having a good week away from the Chelsea rollercoaster!
The Blues played again last night in the midnight kick off (UK time) versus Real Madrid. It ended in another defeat going down 2-1 to the Spanish giants as our USA tour comes to an end.
Our guy Dylan had his live watch-along again! He also previewed the game in here, and this is where you can find the video to watch back if you couldn’t join him live! I will be watching back very soon and then putting my report out, as I was obviously sleeping during the game!
Meanwhile, the Samu Omorodion and Victor Osimhen noise continues. And basically the general striker situation. I put out what I knew on all this via our sources on Tuesday morning that would have landed in your inboxes. This is fast-moving so some of this might now be irrelevant, but you can check it here anyway if you wish. There is also news of another striker being discussed in this actually, one that is not Osimhen or Omorodion!!
Enzo Maresca spoke to the media ahead of the Real Madrid game, and he defended Chelsea selling academy players in this. I have honed in on his words and given my opinion on it all in here. He isn’t wrong, but Chelsea have not been smart or balanced enough, not even in the slightest.
Catch all your latest Chelsea news in the same place from across the last 24 hours in here. This covers all the latest transfer rumours, quotes, and anything else going on around the club! There was also a Conor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid ‘here we go’ in this and more updates on Omorodion and Osimhen.
And last but not least, the anchor man to round things up. Luke had a look at some lineups and what he wants/wanted to see for the final two pre-season games. You can check that out in full in here.
I’ll be on the live blog from around 8.30am today, see you there!
Peace, Si.
It’s like going back to the 80’s I expect us to lose but if we do manage a win it’s fantastic. Roll on the new season it’s going to be ….interesting.
