Chelsea and Napoli 'back' in talks this week

Chelsea have not ‘rekindled’ their interest in Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, contrary to reports. They have always been interested and have never left the scene for Osimhen.

As I have been reporting, what has happened is that talks for Osimhen paused because Chelsea sensed an opportunity in this game of poker and they went quiet on Osimhen to put pressure on Napoli to cave in on their fee demands for him.

They know that Napoli want to replace Osimhen with Romelu Lukaku, but that the operation cannot go ahead without a club signing Osimhen. Chelsea played their hand with this and they hope that will pay off.
