Chelsea looked to try and sign Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo in January when things looked a bit up and down with Enzo Fernandez.
In the end of course, Chelsea got their man in Enzo after some hard work saw the deal through.
But we have all seen it, Enzo has been like a one man band out there and we have all been left feeling very sorry for him. He is levels above many of his team mates and he needs some help. He’s played every game since he arrived in January and we need to ‘free him’ in the middle of the park.
A new number six has remained a priority for Chelsea this summer for some months now, and that has not changed/will not be changing under Mauricio Pochettino. He has communicated that he wants a new six as priority, and the double pivot in his system is the most important position.
