Sources: Lewis Hall, Marc Cucurella, & Ian Maatsen
My opinion on considering selling Hall in this as well
Chelsea are considering selling Lewis Hall this summer, although nothing final has been decided at the time of writing this and it’s not a conclusive situation yet. They aren’t DEFINETELY selling him, but they not closed to it either.
As I understand it from a source close to Hall, the player ideally wants/wanted to go on loan to Crystal Palace because it was a dry loan. But, he is more than happy to join Newcastle on a permanent deal because his priority in all of this is to just play football.
Regardless of what you hear and read in the next days, Hall is not actively pushing to leave Chelsea. But yes, it is true he is more than open to leaving on a permanent and has a connection to Newcastle with his family being supporters of the club since young. But Hall’s desire is to play regular this season and he was more than happy to join Palace on a dry loan and keep his Chelsea career alive. He agreed to that move, just as he agreed to a new long-term contract at Chelsea. The only thing Hall is pushing for is a resolution because he wants to play regularly and know where he’s going to be this season.
