The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Wednesday 18th June 2025!
Morning all,
It’s getting very hot in the UK and across parts of Europe this week and the weekend, which is great in the day but horrible at night (unless you have air con).
Things are heating up around Chelsea as well and although it’s not busy in the transfer market yet, things are going on for sure.
Chelsea are considering a number of different options and positions to sign in and have some big plans in the market still. The centre back position is one they are looking at and want to sign in, and I have further updates from our sources on Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite today. Certainly something still bubbling up in this one, and you can grab the latest on it here.
I also have an insider sourced article on new winger pursuits, with more names coming to the forefront this week. I’ve got some updates on Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho in this one here, as well as an updated overview on that situation in general.
Meanwhile, back to the on field news, and the Club World Cup opening game for Chelsea had me thinking. I believe we should use the group stages to play Nicolas Jackson out wide and Liam Delap through the middle. They can play together in the same starting Xl and be very effective. I want to see it, and here is how we can and why we should.
There is also a situation to think about at right back. As reported, Bayern Munich are showing an interest in signing Malo Gusto. So should we let him go and invest in Josh Acheampong? Or do we need to keep Gusto and loan Josh out? Some decisions to be made on this one, and you can make yours on it here.
Of course, I rounded up all your latest general Chelsea news in the same place for your convenience across the last 24 hours here. Covers more CWC reacts and all your general transfer rumours and updates.
See you on the next live blog from around 8.30am today on the home page.
Peace, Si.
