Morning all!

It’s a Chelsea match day weekend! I’m gearing up to head to London on Sunday to watch our boys take on Inter at Stamford Bridge in Enzo Maresca’s first game at our home ground. Do love a London outing!

It’s the final pre-season game ahead of the new season starting the weekend after, and the real business now begins. I have a bit of a preview article here on this game centered around the importance of Maresca getting fans onside, and this game being the perfect chance to begin that relationship.

As well as the league starting again soon, the transfer window still has around three weeks remaining in it, and Chelsea could still do plenty of business in that time even after the pending arrival of Samu Omorodion. So I have a BIG sourced article explaining the plans for the club in the final three weeks, with names being targeted still, and situations that are going to unfold in here.

The Athletic since confirmed by above report, with Liam Twomey saying: ‘Samu Omorodion is coming in as a second or third choice option to compete/cover with Nicolas Jackson because Chelsea want TWO more attacking signings. They would like the striker to be Victor Osimhen, and a winger.’ So there you have it ;)

Staying with Omorodion, I wanted to mark that signing by welcoming him to Chelsea, as well as putting my full support behind him as a Blues player. But I can’t hide my concern about this summer’s transfer business so far and also, explain why ‘here we go’ drops don’t quite hit the same anymore. I think this is a bit of a universal feel for most Chelsea fans right now. But also, I guess we just have to accept that things are now very different under our current recruitment strategy. All that and more in here. The irony is, after the Omorodion ‘here we go’ we have had ANOTHER one as well as an officially confirmed DONE DEAL!! And I bet many fans haven’t even noticed!
