We all know that the Andrey Santos to Nottingham Forest loan has been a total disaster.
Santos has made one Premier League appearance for Forest this season and one token appearance in The League Cup.
It winds me up when this happens, but it’s nothing new. Norwich City did the same with Billy Gilmour, and we would probably lose count of the amount of other failed loans moves in the past - under Roman Abramovich as well.
Sometimes clubs go back on their words. The only protection you can put in these deals is a recall clause if they don’t play a certain amount of games, which Chelsea have done for Santos.
