Sources: Chelsea's new manager plans and Pochettino stance
Reports suggested contact has been made this week
There was some stories around yesterday regarding Chelsea making contact with new managers to replace Mauricio Pochettino in the summer, so I wanted to clear up and put out what I know via a collection of sources I’ve spoken with this week.
First of all, the noise on Julian Nagelsmann. I put a bit of what I know on the blog yesterday, but time to go into a little more detail.
Chelsea interviewed Nagelsmann at the same time they were interviewing Pochettino. They spoke with him twice I believe. They didn’t see eye to eye on the project, and Nagelsmann’s demands were described to me by sources as being ‘ridiculous’. He wasn’t onboard with all the outgoings the club had planned for the summer, especially Kai Havertz, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Christian Pulisic.
