The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Tuesday 21st January 2025!
Morning all!
Chelsea were in Premier League action last night against Wolves at Stamford Bridge for the 8pm kick off.
It was Trevoh Chalobah’s night at Stamford Bridge in his big return to the club, being absolutely colossal at the back leading The Blues to a 3-1 home win against the relegation battling side.
You can grab my full thoughts, ratings, debrief, conclusion and much more in here.
With it being a transfer window still and lots of potential situations going on, the best place to head to next is the live blog from yesterday in here, covering all of the latest transfer rumours and Chelsea stories in the same place.
I wouldn’t be turning on Enzo Maresca anytime soon personally, because I believe the squad rebuild is nowhere near finished after all this time, and still lacks a strong spine. Once that is addressed (if it is ever addressed), that is when we can look more at Maresca in my view. But any blame that I’ll dish out will be at those who make the transfer decisions at the club, rather than call for the head of yet another head coach anytime soon. I have a read on that here.
A couple of sourced articles now to see us out of this newsletter.
The first one is on some Chelsea interest coming in for Matheus Cunha. Although fans of Cunha need not get too excited just yet, and it’s best to read this article in here in full before all of that!
And the final article is on the consideration to recall Lesley Ugochukwu from his loan spell at Southampton. Enzo Maresca is not sounding too confident of that happening, but our sources heard that it HAS been under consideration. Much more on that and the story in full here.
See you all on the next live blog from around 8.30am today for more match reactions!
Peace, Si.
Its so good to have a proper aerial threat in the box! much needed. From 3 goals scored in 130 corners to 2 set piece goals in one match!
