Chelsea are attempting to sign Joao Pedro from Brighton, and Mohammed Kudus from West Ham, after agreeing a deal to sign Jamie Gittens from Dortmund.
As reported a number of times this window, Enzo Maresca has prioritised improvements in attack in the transfer market and this is what he put to the board as the most important thing to improve this summer.
Maresca wants more threat and more goals, as well as more player who can help break down low blocks.
Gittens will arrive as a new left winger, but Maresca still wants to sign another player who can play up top, as well as another attacking midfielder who can play in a few different positions. These players can be described as ‘swiss army knife’ players that Maresca loves.
