Sources: Chelsea planning Michael Olise return
The Blues are going to move back in for the Crystal Palace attacker
Chelsea looked to try and sign Michael Olise from Crystal Palace in the last transfer window but the move was scuppered by his club.
Olise I am told was keen on moving to Chelsea and even had positive conversations with our club through his agent. There was even reliable reports that Olise ‘chose’ Chelsea over Manchester City and the deal was happening.
Palace then moved to do all they can to secure him and offered a new contract, which Olise signed and stayed at the club.
The whole deal was very confusing and still is, because Chelsea actually activated a release clause then, but even still the deal did not go through and somehow Palace convinced him to sign an extension.
He signed a new 4-year-contract with Palace in the summer and although not public and under wraps, it is believed that there is a release clause in his new contract still, but the fee is also unknown.
