The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Wednesday 27th September 2023!
Morning all,
It’s a Chelsea midweek matchday!! These come few and far between this season without us being in Europe, but it’s a cup match under the lights at Stamford Bridge this evening.
Although it’s the League Cup third round, we face Premier League opposition. We have one of our community members here, Sam Wightwick, on hand to deliver your Brighton match preview, team news, and Xl predictions here!
You might not agree with Sam’s choices and that’s completely fine. Or you might agree entirely. Either way, you can pick YOUR starting Xl to face Brighton here. In this as well, I have my views ahead of the game and also MY starting Xl I’d want to see.
We also had another community member jump in to do a contribution article today, as I always like to hear other voices and opinions on the situation. Billy Young has tried to be as level-headed as possible with his assessment on things right now here.
Now down to the real business and that is for a new striker in January to come in and help us out with some goals, hopefully… I have the very latest sourced news on Ivan Toney to Chelsea here as the club lays down the groundwork and uses a key tactic to try and convince the player to come to Stamford Bridge in 2024.
Finally for today’s newsletter, scroll through this one here to get all your latest general Chelsea news, transfer news, quotes, and all the pre-match build up for Brighton in the latest live blog from yesterday.
I’ll be online for the game tonight and will put my debrief article out after the full time whistle.
I’ll also be on the live blog today as always. Although I’ll pre-warn you, I am picking my parents up from the Airport (again, yes I know, they’re always away right!?) this afternoon so I won’t be on the blog much. I’ll see if Luke is able to do any updates for me.
COME ON CHELSEA!!!!! Zero expectations, 1% hope, but we’re here, we go again, and as always, UP THE CHELS!!
