Sources: Chelsea exploring a move for Jules Kounde
The Blues could still bring in a new centre back this summer, and Kounde is high on the list
Jules Kounde of Sevilla is a wanted man this summer as he looks to potentially make his next move.
He has been linked with a host of clubs around Europe and a few teams in England, including Manchester United and Tottenham.
Chelsea could be in the market for a new centre back this summer depending on what happens with Kurt Zouma, and with new contract negotiations for Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
The club are exploring centre back options, and I’ve been told they are looking into the possibility of signing 22-year old Kounde, who is seen as a future world class star by many scouts and experts in the game.
The Blues will not be alone if they decide to pursue him as aforementioned, but his valuation of around £55 million could put some clubs off.
There are some reports suggesting Manchester United have made an opening offer of less than £40 million for Kounde, which is allegedly an improved offer on their first one. These are just whispers and nothing solid is circulating on this just yet.
But if Chelsea do end up needing a new defender this summer, they may might to move on Kounde soon if they want to land him.
