The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Wednesday 4th October 2023!
Morning all,
There was a good feeling on the site yesterday and of course that always happens after we win a game of football. And not only that, win it by playing well. Pretty much every player put in a good performance against Fulham on Monday night.
It’s a great moment and we of course deserve to saviour and enjoy it!
But we should also remember to stay grounded here. The flip flopping between wanting Pochettino sacked and then thinking we are getting top four in the space of a week is laughable (mainly seen on social media of course rather than on here). I’ve written something here about keeping our expectations realistic and taking one game at time, despite the very encouraging signs against Fulham and against Brighton last week.
Following on from that I have got an article here on how our fixtures in October and November get a lot tougher. I have previewed each game in this and predicted the results. Also, some polls in there for you to predict yours!
OK, back to the pure positivity, because we have absolute reason to be positive after our last two games. Let’s give our third choice captain Conor Gallagher some flowers shall we? Because he deserves them. A piece on Gallagher and how important he has become here.
Let’s get into the news roundups from yesterday because it was a super happy place to be and also, the reactions coming in from the players after the win was refreshing and great to see. Long may it continue. All your latest Chelsea news in one place here.
A sourced article next on the future of Tammy Abraham and Chelsea’s background interest in him. What is happening there then? Find out here!
That’s it for now, see you all on the live blog from around 8am today!
Peace, Si.
