Sources: Celtic defeat to spark some transfer action? Concerns off back of thrashing, £66m on new goalkeepers but not one standout, Marc Guiu is a real talent but we still need proven ST, Much more...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: 29th July 2024!
Morning all,
So, plenty to chat about and go through today. With Chelsea being thrashed by Celtic on Saturday night, there has been some reactions and actions off the back of that.
We are just three weeks off facing Manchester City in the Premier League now, and we also have some tough pre-season friendlies to play. If we are going to do anything big in the market, now is the time to do it. We also need to make some player sales.
Chelsea board not overly happy with what they have seen so far this pre-season, and neither are us fans. Will that cause a reaction? Find out in here with my big sourced article on the rest of the plans for the transfer window!
I also reviewed the Celtic game in full and rated all the players and manager in here. There was certainly some concerns in this one but also, we must not get carried away either way by pre-season games.
I have some rants next. Well, not really rants but some concerns about our squad building so far and what we still need to do for it to be a successful window. This is the last window of an alleged four window plan, yet we have still failed to address the spine of the team.
I have some strong words on strikers in here, and some stronger words on goalkeepers in here. How have we spent £66m on new goalkeepers but still don’t have a standout option for number one? It’s more than shambolic.
And of course, we rounded up all your general Chelsea news in the same place from Sunday in here. This covers all the latest transfer rumours, quotes, more reactions from the Celtic game, and any other general Blues news.
See you all on the live blog from around 8.30am!
Peace, Si.
