Sources: Addressing Florian Wirtz and new winger plans

Chelsea continue to make plans for the next two transfer windows and despite their being a feeling that the squad is close to being complete, Chelsea are still looking at a few positions to potentially upgrade in, and they will always be looking at opportunities to add more and better quality, should they arise.

They have been linked again this week to Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz, who is a superb player and really starting to prove that now.

As I reported in a sourced article back in June, Chelsea are interested in Wirtz and were looking at him at that point to replace the departing Mason Mount and Kai Havertz. However, nothing came to fruition at that point and then Chelsea signed Cole Palmer.

The interest in Wirtz does remain, but I am not classing him as a priority right now, and sources agree.
