The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Monday 9th December 2024!
Morning all,
I do hope you all had a good weekend and if you were in the UK, managed to stay safe amongst a pretty big storm (for the UK at least). We lost a shed roof and a plant pot, but we weren’t in the ‘red’ zone and I know many got it quite bad.
Anyways, Chelsea played football on Sunday and it was none other than our London rivals Tottenham. It was a comfortable win for Chelsea despite the scoreline suggesting otherwise. We completely dominated them and for once I always thought we would win this game [in-game at least not before] even at 2-0 down!
You can get my debrief, ratings, and full conclusion on the game with my report in here.
I also had a couple of insider sourced articles out last night.
One is on the feelings at Chelsea right now and the whole title talk. The club, and Enzo Maresca, are absolutely exercising full caution right now, and Maresca is not just saying it to take any pressure off. I have the full story from Cobham sources in here.
A new centre back has become a Chelsea priority. But will that be in January or in the summer? And which Premier League defender who is not Marc Guehi, has come back onto the Chelsea radar in recent weeks? Find all that out and more in here, as well as three other centre back names!
Maresca said earlier last week that Moises Caicedo now sits on the same table as one of the best midfielders alongside Declan Rice and Rodri. But the truth is, he actually currently sits head of that table, and the stats back that up in here.
And of course, I rounded up all the general Chelsea news in the same place from Sunday in here. This also covers every word Maresca said in his post-match Spurs presser, as well as other reactions from the game.
Jump on the live blog with me around 8.30am this morning to drop your comments and thoughts on the Spurs game! See you there!
Peace, Si.
I am just enjoying all the YouTubers eating their words about Chelsea and their players. It is such a shame that the Sky football so called pundits are reluctant to apologise to Chelsea and our owners and our directors as well.I am referring to the so called experts of the game, the people such as Gary Neville who could last only two months before being sacked as a manager. If the others became a manager they would get the sack ss well such as Roy Keane did at Ipswich.
