Scouting: Chelsea linked Jamie Gittens and James McAtee, Recommending Callum Doyle, My love for watching England is BACK! Moises Caicedo shines for Ecuador, Joe Cole wants to be a manager, More....
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Thursday 17th October 2024!
Morning all!
The international break is officially over, folks! Rejoice! Later today I will be previewing our next game on Sunday, and I am so pleased that Chelsea are back.
It feels like this international break has really dragged on, more than usual.
On the plus side, I did manage to get to watch a game this break, attending England U21’s 7-0 thrashing of Azerbaijan U21’s on Tuesday night.
There was some very good players on display, many with Chelsea connections or transfer links to Chelsea. I’ve written my scouting report from the game with a Chelsea focus, speaking about some of the players freshly linked with us in here. Some standout players that I predict top futures for too. Worth the read this one.
Sticking on England yet with a Chelsea connection. The big news of the week is that Thomas Tuchel is the new England manager, something that truly excited me. I was calling for this many months back. The FA wanted Eddie Howe, but now they’ve turned direction and gone with natural born winner, Tommy Tuchel! I’ve explained why this is a great hire in here.
Perhaps one day soon we will be speaking about former Chelsea player Joe Cole as a manager, because that is what he now wants to do. Cole has admitted that he is keen to get into management in a Podcast this week, find out about all of that and more in here.
And to round up the international break, we can speak about Moises Caicedo’s latest performance for Ecuador, which was a pure dominating display. They didn’t win, but Caicedo was flawless. Find out more on that and watch his highlights in here.
And of course, you can grab all your latest Chelsea news in the same place from across the last 24 hours in here. Covering quotes, interviews, transfer rumours, and much more!
Thanks for stopping by and I’ll hopefully see you all on the next live blog from around 8.30am today on the home page!
Peace, Si.
