Review: Chelsea 4 Leicester 2, SOURCES: The other reasons Boehly was in Saudi REVEALED! Why Reece James should be converted to DM, Gusto (& Palmer) a smart recruitment blueprint, Much more...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Monday 18th March 2024!
Morning all!
I hope you had a good weekend whatever it was that you might have gotten up to!
Chelsea played yesterday lunchtime, and it was a big FA Cup quarter final match of all matches! It was a very strange game and needed a late onslaught from Chelsea to win it. It was great to see the players never say die attitude, but there was some more very concerning coaching decisions. Most importantly though, we won the game and are through to the semi finals of the FA Cup, facing Manchester City!
You can grab my full thoughts, review, player/manager ratings and much more in my match debrief article here.
You can now round up all the match reactions, Mauricio Pochettino’s post-match words, and any other big Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours in the same place in Sunday’s news report here.
And before the game of course, I had three morning articles out for you! These got my thinking head on, well two of them did. I think the first one on Reece James will spark a real debate, and maybe I’ll get Joe to run a poll on it today on the live blog. But I have reasoned why I think James should be converted into a defensive midfielder in here. I know many will agree, and many wont!
The other comment piece from me for this weekend is on the smart recruitment we have seen that landed us Malo Gusto and Cole Palmer. I believe these types of signings should serve as a blueprint for our recruitment going forward, but not with such big age restrictions. I detail that in here.
The last article for today is a sourced article. I reported last week that Blues owner Todd Boehly has been in Saudi Arabia for meetings, as other outlets also reported. I have been given some further exclusive info on other reasons why Boehly was there, and you can read all about that in here.
Right, I’ll start up the live blog from around 8.30am this morning and then Joe will be running it when he gets to work. I will jump on and off when I can to post anything, and also answer any questions. I am hoping to start running the live blogs again myself from later this week, just to see if it’s manageable. Thanks again for your understanding and patience!
Peace, Si.
Morning so I was at the game yesterday it was getting toxic with poch I still don’t think he helps himself with making no connection with the fans and he’s comments after about he does what he wants .
