Reece James says Chelsea have 'every chance' of winning the league
The Blues right back believes they can lift the Premier League title this season
Reece James’ rise to the top has been rapid and impressive to say the least.
He has always been rated very highly within the clubs academy from a very young age, he was always talked about as the one having that X-Factor about him, the one who stood out physically, mentally, and ability wise. You couldn’t be involved with the club without hearing the name Reece James on a daily basis.
As with many of the young Blues, James was always a fan first and a player second. Making it into this senior Chelsea team has quite literally been a lifetime dream come true for James and that feeling of donning the Chelsea shirt for the first time, there will be no better feeling for him.
He has already lived up to his hype since arriving back from his season-long loan move with Wigan at the start of last season. He has not only become a mainstay in Frank Lampard’s starting eleven, he has took the position off of club captain Cesar Azpilicueta, and that is nothing to be sniffed at.
James has been one of the most consistently good Chelsea players of the last couple of seasons, and this season he has been even better.
Last night in the 0-0 draw against Spurs, James was once again one of the best players on the pitch.
And it was after this game when James made the big call that Chelsea ‘have every chance’ of winning the Premier League THIS SEASON.
His words and spirit is admirable, and this rally cry will weald throughout the squad at all levels, and you can just feel that this belief is realistic.
“At the end of the day the aim of the team is to win the league and I think we’ve got every chance” James said after the game.
“That’s the goal but we have to keep working and keep pushing and getting better as a team.”
Well, Reece has spoken, and we must all jump on board the positive bus with him!
