The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Friday 10th November 2023!
Morning all!
Happy Friday people and I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! We can have a nice relaxing Saturday and are able to just enjoy the calm before the storm.
And if our next game against Manchester City on Sunday is going to be anything like the game against Spurs on Monday night, we might all need the next week off to recover!!
The Spurs game was absolutely crazy, but full of entertainment. But in all seriousness, Chelsea must not start against City in the same way tactically as they did against Spurs, otherwise it could end up being a VERY long afternoon. I’ve got a bunch of match previews, thoughts, tactical looks, score and lineup predictions/preferences to go through today below. But before we do that, there is a story on Emma Hayes and Paul Winstanley that needs addressing.
I have spoken to sources about this and have concluded the following in here on this story.
Back to the City game now, and the best place to begin is the overall match preview article here. This is where you will find the facts, my lineup prediction, and much more.
But my lineup prediction is not the same as what I want to see this weekend. So I have that in here, as well as explaining exactly what Chelsea/Mauricio Pochettino need to do in order to give us the best possible chance of getting a result against the champions on Sunday.
And finally for the big build up articles, I have given you all a chance to pick YOUR preferred starting Xl for the City game here and also, predict your results for the game and tell us if you are confident or not.
As always, please head to yesterday’s live blog here to get all your latest Chelsea news ahead of the weekend, covering any quotes, transfer rumours, and everything else floating around the Chelsea space!
And if that wasn’t all plenty of build up for you, I speak a lot more on the Spurs game, the City game coming up, and all the latest transfer noise on strikers and more in our latest Podcast here. I always go into more detail on these pods and put more news out, so it’s well worth checking out!
As I’ve said in my preview articles, I’m certainly not as confident for this game as I was against Spurs. But we know Chelsea can beat any team on their day, so there is certainly hope.
I’ll setup a live match day thread for you all to join in and comment in on the Substack App on Sunday afternoon. And I’ll jump on there if I can if there is any big news out before then. Otherwise, I’ll be on the website Sunday as always, and then I’ll have my big match debrief article out right after full time!
I hope you all have a cracking weekend whatever you get up to!
COME ON CHELSEA!!!!!!!!!!
UTC!!!!!!
Peace, Si.
