PREVIEW: Chelsea vs Blackburn, ANALYSIS: Chelsea lack variety of goal threats, Surely a great manager in John Terry? Weekly Loan Army Report, Full news roundups, and more...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Wednesday 1st November 2023!
Morning all,
And welcome to November! The festive season officially begins and what that means for Chelsea is a very busy period of games coming up next month and the mid-point of the season approaching. It also means the January transfer window is on the horizon, and this publication here is THE best place to be to get all your transfer news, often exclusively and before other places! The news will really begin to heat up going forward now for January.
We have a game to think about tonight first and foremost though, and it has actually turned into a pretty big game. Chelsea will push hard for this competition with it being the only chance of silverware we have this season. We have to go all out for The League Cup now because winning a trophy will be huge for Mauricio Pochettino and this young team this season. But we have to first get past Blackburn Rovers tonight. Match preview, team news, injury news, lineup prediction, and score prediction can all be found in here.
One of Chelsea’s biggest issues is not being able to score goals. We have all had our say on why this might be, but a guest contributor and community member from this site, Billy Young, has honed in on one thing that has not really been mentioned as much - Chelsea’s lack of a variety of goal threat. Billy explains it all superbly in here, but he’s basically highlighting our lack of goals from set pieces, as well as long range shooting, and it’s a real issue when you see how he’s summed it up.
Luke Rushbrook pens one of the most popular weekly segments now on this website, The Loan Army Report. And you can find a very busy latest version of this checking in on all of our loan players in here. Some extensive and great updates in this one.
Chelsea legend John Terry has been on the John Obi Mikel Podcast this week and I found it truly fascinating to watch. The link to watch it all as well as the article is in here. But also in this, I speak on why Terry has not gone into management, and why his words on the Podcast regarding that, are truly gutting. What actually happened with Terry and Lampard last season when Lamps came back in as interim? Why does Terry say he is highly unlikely to become a manager? That and much more in this one.
Finally, as always, I have all your latest Chelsea news, quotes, transfer rumours and everything else across the last 24 hours in one place here for your convenience!
Join me today on the live blog from around 8am, where you will get all your latest news and matchday build up for tonight right up until kick off! I’ll then rollout my match review debrief article as soon as the game is over tonight.
Enjoy the game those heading to The Bridge, and let’s hope us watching from home can enjoy it too!
COME ON CHELSEA!!!!!
#UTC!!!
Peace, Si.
