The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Tuesday 6th February 2024!
Morning all,
Yesterday was a busy old day of comments, articles, news, and opinions from the incredible community we have built here. We are certainly much better at building a Chelsea fan community than Chelsea are building a team for the here and now!
The comments were off the charts yesterday on the live blog, with all of you having your say on Mauricio Pochettino, the owners, SDs, and the players - those that have caused the turmoil situation we are in. The emotions were high and the passion was delivered, so please do go and check in on yesterday’s live blog here first and foremost to get all the latest news on Poch and so much more. You will also find all my sourced info on everything that was being reported yesterday and whether it was true or not, and whether Pochettino is actually safe.
I basically wrote all my entire five articles in one yesterday because I had so much to say on everything and wasn’t sure how to articulate it. So I’ve just thrown it all together in here. This is a long read on my stance on whether Chelsea should sack Pochettino, but if they do then others need to go, why we need to now switch to a back three whoever the gaffer is, damning info on the players, other sourced insights from me, and my entire verdict on all of our problems right now.
Our man The Score has also had enough and completely lost his patience. "I’m tired of seeing us run like a pub team by over-promoted sporting directors,” he says. Big read here on why Chelsea need a complete structural review and overhaul on the men's side.
And just to give our community here the widest possible selection of opinions on the current situation (although we are pretty much all aligned on this) and Pochettino’s future, we’ve got Luke Rushbrook with his latest on everything here (Luke believes it’s more about the Sporting Directors than it is the manager, and that they need to GO). As well as Will Reyner back with his regular musings for this site and the community here. Will is also very clear and points his blame firmly on Pochettino and the SDs. These are both fantastic reads and really from everything I have seen, represent the wider view of an entire fanbase right now.
It’s very toxic and turmoil out there right now, and we don’t have much rest bite before our next game on Wednesday night. We have the small task of having to go to Villa Park and attempting to win there! Yikes.
See you all on the live blog for another lively one from 8am today!
Peace, Si.
