Our 'squad build' is failing miserably & the SD's must be held accountable, Same old issues at City need addressing NOW, Fans rightfully angry, Is Sanchez really playing because of Ben Roberts? More..
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Monday 27th January 2025!
Morning all,
I hope you all had a good weekend other than Robert Sanchez still starting for Chelsea and losing a game single-handedly (no pun intended). Other players were awful too mind, but not as awful as he was.
You can read my reactions from the Manchester City defeat in here. That’s now just one win in seven league games for Chelsea. Not good at all. Fan anger and discontent is building up again big time, and to be honest, many of us have always had these concerns and they haven’t just disappeared because of the good form we did have for a short time this season.
It’s still a transfer window, even if Chelsea appear to be fast asleep now after some promising rumours at the start of the window. But even still, there is time left, and anything that is going on from the last 24 hours can be found in here. This will also have any of my latest sourced transfer info in it.
I’m annoyed. I am being forced to vent again, as many others have done this weekend. I think the squad build has been hideous. Yes, they’ve signed some talent, some decent young players, and I have always given props for that. But the sporting directors have failed in this squad build. I’m sorry, but there are no two ways about it. To spend what they have spent, signed the amount of players they have signed, and after five transfer windows we still lack a spine to the team, is beyond belief. Time for them to be held accountable. Big read of venting in here. Time for a change in tact, or a change in personnel.
The Score has also been doing some more venting this weekend, and as I said last week, for him to be speaking this way must mean they are really messing this club up right now. Read his latest thoughts in here.
And finally, I’ve written something on Ben Roberts and Robert Sanchez, the two homies. Sanchez sees Roberts as a father figure apparently. They love each other. So is Roberts the reason that Sanchez continues to play and they continue to defend him? If so, why? And why does he have so much power at our beautiful club? Who on earth do we think he is? A lot to address and speak about in here.
Thanks for stopping by. See you on the next live blog from around 8.30am today, and I expect it to be a entertaining one to say the least!
Peace, Si.
