No need to risk Enzo Saturday, go for the juggler! Community makes Conor Gallagher decision, Will Andrey Santos ever play for Chelsea? Full news roundups, More...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Wednesday 27th March 2024!
Morning all,
Welcome to Wednesday’s Chelsea Newsletter as we edge a day closer to Chelsea’s next game!
With international matches on last night still and some Chelsea interest in these as always, I’ve kept an eye on them whilst also now starting to focus and look ahead to Saturday’s game vs Burnley. Because let’s be honest, we are all super pleased to be seeing the back of an international break during a domestic season and having Chelsea to watch again!
I’m talking team selections for the weekend, and in here I debate that Enzo Fernandez should probably be rest on Saturday and by doing this, it gives Mauricio Pochettino a chance to lineup much bolder and braver, by putting in an extra attack to go at a very poor Burnley side.
Conor Gallagher will be starting the game on Saturday and is a player who could literally play every day and never be fatigued. It’s a great player to have in our squad, and that point brings me to the debate that we have all had in this community over the past few days and this week, should Chelsea really sell Gallagher this summer? I asked for your thoughts on this via many questions in some polls at the weekend, and we have your conclusions here. Some of these responses I was actually quite surprised with!
Meanwhile, Andrey Santos had his first start for Strasbourg right before this break, and he played very well. It was pleasing to see and hopefully the start of him getting some solid game time now in Ligue 1 to help his development. But I’ve asked the question in here, will he ever actually feature for Chelsea again? It’s an interesting one to ponder, so please do join that debate!
Of course, I’ve been back on the live blogs this week covering all your latest Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours in one place, and you can find the latest one of those here.
I’ll be on the next live blog from around 8.30am today, please do join me there, these get pretty lonely during international breaks!!
Peace, Si.
So pleased for mudryk let’s hope poch gives him a run of games from the start in the 10 position .
