The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Thursday 31st October, aka Halloween!
Morning all!
And a Happy Halloween to anyone who celebrates it, I hope you enjoy the spooky festivities!
Doing this for four years now, I have started to run out of Chelsea related Halloween jokes for this particular newsletter, but I’ve got one left in the bag for you all…
Newcastle made Chelsea look like Ghosts last night as they turned into monsters looking for revenge from Sunday.
I hereby announce no more Halloween innuendos going forward…
Anyways, I have not even watched the game yet, some might say I Ghosted it (ooops I failed). But I was playing football myself last night so will be watching it back this morning and putting some reactions out on the site in due course. Our man Luke was on hand though to cover the match report and player ratings, and you can check that out in here. Big thanks to Luke for covering, although it sounds like a ‘horror’ of a game to cover!
Of course, I had all your latest Chelsea news from the last 24 hours in the same place for you all in here. This was all the news leading up to the game.
There was a sourced article out yesterday that you should have got in your emails. But in case you missed that one, it’s on some updates on a left back target, a name you can read all about in here.
Enzo Maresca is obsessed with football, we can all see that. But the lengths he is going to in preparation for the Manchester United game on Sunday, really is incredible and is worth talking about some more. And I did just that in here.
We all love to see the data on players, and I think it’s so important to analyse this. But we must also use the eye test and keep that in high regard. It’s important to look at both. I’ve done just that in this data analytical article on a number of our players topping some stat charts right now in here.
Myself and Jai will be on the latest Podcast today [if Jai isn’t wearing a red Devil outfit to match the colour of his hair then he’s sacked], so you will be able to watch that not long after lunchtime. We’ll review the Toon game some more and also chat about strikers, United on Sunday, and so much more!
Right, do join me on the last live blog of the week on the home page from around 8.30am today where we can all chat about the game together and everything else that is going on during this very scary day of pumpkins, sweets, Witches, Skeletons and more!
Just a shout out for anyone who loves Halloween, my film recommendation is Hubie Halloween with Adam Sandler, I absolutely love it and will have that on later at some point! Question, is an 8 month old too young to take trick or treating? Asking for a good friend…
Peace, Si.
It’s no good having a so called B team if they don’t compete fully because that’s the one thing fans want from their team to give 100%.
Don't bother watching the game back Si, you'll only get wound up with it 😂 Maresca absolutely threw the game
