New Hakimi bid 'in coming days', contact made for Varane, Ramos interest - cfcnewspage
General transfer news update on Hakimi, Traore, Haaland, Ramos, Varane, Rice, Ziyech, Zouma, Abraham, and Giroud
There are plenty of transfer happenings going on at Chelsea right now, despite much of it not being in the public eye.
As we know, Chelsea prefer to keep their transfer business behind closed doors as much as possible, unless it is in their benefit to leak certain news.
This is when it is good to find certain reliable inside Chelsea sources to bring some news through unofficial links.
This is why we have partnered with popular Instagram account, cfcnewspage.
Drop him a follow on Instagram - You won’t be disappointed.
He delivers the very latest Chelsea news from top sources, as well as dishing out his own inside information, which has been proven to be very reliable in the past, especially with early team news all through this season.
He also brings transfer and general Chelsea news and he was the first to break the news of Thiago Silva signing a new Chelsea contract this summer.
This is his very first general transfer update, which he will exclusively be bringing to us here at Si & Dan Talk Chelsea on a weekly basis.
Although he posts a lot on his Instagram account, here you will find the full details of what he has been reporting, and further exclusives just for the site.
So here we go…. The following is in the words of cfcnewspage…
Achraf Hakimi
In the last 72 hours, PSG have stepped up their pursuit of Achraf Hakimi and they have pulled ahead of Chelsea. This is because PSG are willing to pay straight cash (which is what Inter are keen on, as I revealed on my page) with just separate transactions involved. Whereas Chelsea are trying to offer players in a deal such as Marcos Alonso for the Inter defender.Â
This is a normal situation (to be behind) because swap-deals take time, as more than one player is involved in the deal.Â
We know so far that PSG have made an official bid of 60m euros whereas from what I'm told Chelsea are just talking, but are willing to make a bid.
Hakimi's price tag is set at 80m euros and I expect both PSG and Chelsea to both lodge new bids in the coming days. I expect this situation to go back and forth, which is normal when two big teams are going for a big player. The race is on.Â
Adama Traore (alternative to Hakimi)
Chelsea hold a strong interest in Wolves winger Adama Traore. This player was identified to the board by Thomas Tuchel and his staff, as they really like the Spaniard and see him as an opportunity to make an impact off the bench where opposition legs are tired and/or when the opposition team sits behind the ball. They have identified Traore as someone who can drive at players, carry the ball and make things happen.Â
However, there is nothing advanced yet. Just strong interest in the player. He is seen as an alternative if Hakimi doesn't happen.Â
Erling Haaland
In the last week, this situation has gone quiet, which as we know isn't a bad thing as Chelsea like to do their business in private. From what I'm told so far Chelsea talks with Haaland are still going ahead and the club is really pushing. No personal terms have been agreed yet with Haaland and Chelsea, but I don't expect them to be a problem.Â
Sergio Ramos
I was told on Wednesday night and exclusively revealed Friday that Chelsea are considering offering Sergio Ramos a contract, which I'm told would be a one-year offer.Â
So far, there have been enquiries from Marina Granovskaia to understand the situation and also from many other clubs (PSG again). The stumbling block at Real Madrid is his high wages - he reportedly earns over 300k a week, which I can't see Chelsea agreeing to pay. Early days, but definitely want to keep an eye on!Â
Raphael Varane
I'm told he is seen as Tuchel's main target for CB and in fact there have been initial first talks. He is one to keep an eye on, as his contract with Real Madrid expires in June 2022.
With no agreement reached on a new contract, they could look to cash in this summer. Manchester United and PSG are also reportedly interested. I'm told he would cost in the region of £50-60 million.Â
Declan Rice
He is Thomas Tuchel's number one midfield target. However, he is reportedly worth around £80 million, which Chelsea aren't keen on paying.Â
This is why Chelsea are considering a swap deal opportunity of using Tammy Abraham in the deal (who is reportedly worth £40 million). This could be seen as a potential opportunity, as West Ham have a strong interest in Abraham, who we know is not in Tuchel's plans and Chelsea are looking to cash in on him this summer.Â
However, if West Ham reject this opportunity, it is likely Rice stays at West Ham for another season and captains his side in the Europa League.
OUTGOINGS
Hakim Ziyech
Chelsea are open to selling Hakim Ziyech this summer. AC Milan and Lazio are interested and would prefer a loan deal due to his price-tag of £34m.Â
Kurt Zouma
Chelsea are also open to selling Kurt Zouma this summer, which is one of the reasons why Chelsea are linked to centre-backs.
In the last few days, Zouma's agent has offered his client to Everton, where he had a successful loan spell. However, Everton are working on signing a new manager and will need to sit down and discuss whether Kurt Zouma is a target.
Olivier Giroud
Chelsea are wanting a fee for Giroud, which is why Chelsea activated his option for another year to sell him for money and not risk losing him on a free. Talks with AC Milan are progressing.Â
Hope you enjoyed the interesting updates. Please remember, as is the nature of the beast in transfer deals, things can change in an instant. The info cfcnewspage and ourselves get is from trustworthy sources that we have built time in learning to trust. We put it out there as is the situation at the time, as we have often seen and experienced over time, these situations can change in the space of a few hours. Always try and keep that in mind.
