Good Afternoon, Ladies and Gents,
Welcome back to the 23/24 season loan army report. This is a summary of what our loan players have been up to over the last few weeks.
Remember I don’t include players who are out on loan with a Buy Option.
Lets get into it……
Gaga Slonina:
Just the one game for Gaga’s side in the last few weeks, a 4-0 defeat to Standard Liege, needless to say it was a tough night against good opposition for Gaga and his side.
Bashir Humphreys:
Bash is still struggling with injured and hasn’t featured in quite a while, he is close to playing now.
Tino Anjorin:
Tino returned for Portsmouth this week with a 20 minute cameo off the bench against Derby County.
Omari Hutchinson:
3 games for Omari recently, he had an absolute worldie of a game v Sheffield Wednesday scoring 2 and assisting 1 in a 6-0 win, which was more than enough to earn him the MOTM award. he completed the full 90 minutes.
In the 2 games since, he has completed 90 minutes again in both and performed well, but with no goal involvement to his name. He has been putting in an excellent shift for the team.
Harvey Vale:
Harvey has started all 3 of Bristol Rovers last 3 games, 218 of a possible 270 minutes, Rovers have dropped off recently and their form along with Harveys form has dipped slightly, although he is still learning and performing to a decent standard.
Charlie Webster:
Charlie came on for 14 minutes in a 3-3 draw with FC Twente, before that he had been an unused sub for 2 games. It is really hard for him to effect games when he is playing minutes so few and far between!
Mason Burstow:
Mason came on for 13 minutes against QPR and has been an unused sub in the 2 games since, similarly to Charlie, it is really hard for him to gain momentum.
David Datro Fofana:
Datro has only been available for 2 of the last 3 games, with his loan agreement ruling him out of last weekends fixture at Stamford Bridge.
He played 87 minutes in Burnley’s 2-1 win against brentford, scoring the winning goal, he then played a full 90 minutes v Wolves at home this midweek where he performed well but didn’t score. 5 goal involvements in 7 starts (9 apps) for DDF.
Angelo Gabriel:
Angelo is still absent with a groin injury.
Dion Rankine:
2 sub appearances and an unused sub role for Dion recently, not much to write back on with the recent games with 2 minimal sub appearances.
Alex Matos:
2 full 90s for Alex over easter weekend was a positive after an unused sub role in the game before, Huddersfield are in awful form but Alex is still managing to put in decent performances and learn from the older pros around him.
Jamie Cumming:
2 wins in the last 3 for Jamie’s side and a clean sheet against Fleetwood in a 4-0 win, Jamie is doing well there and in my opinion has found his level at the top end of league one/ Championship.
Eddie Beach:
Eddie has still not regained his place at Gateshead, he did play 90 for Wales U21 during the Int’l break.
Ian Maatsen:
Ian is still doing well and seems to be learning a lot and growing with confidence, his on the ball work has been excellent. I am almost certain Dortmund will trigger that 33mil release clause in the summer.
Armando Broja
After missing the squad with injury in mid Feb Armando has featured from the bench twice and not made the matchday squad 3 times for “technical reasons”. Not looking good but the 4mil loan fee looks a good bit of business for a player who would have played similar minutes at the club in my opinion.
Andrey Santos
After 3 consecutive unused sub roles for Andrey in the 2 games since my last report he has started and been excellent in both games and has almost started the resurgence to turn Strasbourg’s season around. They have won both games by 2 goals!
Thanks for reading.

Great article and update as always. Pieces when you produce them. Thanks
Good news about Andrey Santos - especially as Strasbourg been so unsettled and blaming take over.
