Good Evening, Ladies and Gents,
Welcome back to the 23/24 season loan army report. This is a summary of what our loan players have been up to over the last week.
Lets get into it……
Gaga Slonina:
Another loss for Gaga’s Eupen, but another solid performance for the lad, making 7 saves!
He also made 21/28 passes, all 7 saves inside the box, 7 recoveries and 39 touches!
Still believe this to be a weird choice of loan, but Gaga is definitely being worked and putting up good numbers!
Bashir Humphreys:
Another week and another 90 minutes for Bash, this week up against Omari Hutchinson’s Ipswich Town which they ultimately lost 3-2.
A bit of an abnormal performance from Bash, he has been so consistently good for Swansea since getting in to the team and this week his performance was slightly under-par. But yet still some impressive stats for him.
He completed 74/83 passes, had 92 touches, made 6 defensive recoveries and won 4/6 duels.
Zak Sturge:
Zak was an unused sub v Wigan in the league last midweek, whilst not making the matchday squad v Cambridge this weekend
Andrey Santos:
Andrey was not in the squad for Forest this weekend.
This loan will end in January and either Santos will stay and fight for his place or we may send him on a much better loan with better playing time clauses.
Cesare Casadei:
Unfortunately Cesare was an unused sub for Leicester’s 2nd consecutive loss. The worrying thing is Wilfried Ndidi, who’s position Cesare has filled since being injured, is still injured. Cesare was replaced by Hamza Choudhury in the starting XI and when Choudhury was withdrawn he did not replace him.
Tino Anjorin:
Tino is looking likely to be out until the end of the year/ start of January.
Omari Hutchinson:
As mentioned above, Omari’s Ipswich won 3-2 against Swansea. No direct goal involvements for Omari but a pretty good performance nonetheless.
He completed 100% of passes, had an XGI of 1.27, 100% shot accuracy, 27 touches, 2/3 completed dribbles, made 4 defensive recoveries and won 4/5 ground duels. All of this in 64 minutes
Since the injury to Wes Burns, Omari has been a part of Ipswich’s best XI and is playing lots of minutes whilst getting lots of trust from his manager.
Harvey Vale:
In the last week Harvey has had 2 further matches, he was a used substitute away to Reading last midweek, coming on to play 35 minutes and gain an assist.
He picked the ball up on the left wing took it past a player and slid an excellent pass through to the forward who slotted home comfortably. (video below) Skip to 1:35
Harvey also completed 90 mins in Bristol Rovers 1-0 away win v Carlisle at the weekend, he made 16/24 passes, had 48 touches, missed a big chance and created 1 big chance, made 4 passes into the final 3rd, won 67% tackles. 10 defensive actions, 9 defensive recoveries, won 7/13 duels.
Charlie Webster:
Charlie came on for 3 minutes at the end of Heerenveen’s 3-1 win away to Vitesse.
Diego Moreira:
Another game where Diego was not selected, another loan that may need to end in January.
Mason Burstow:
Another 3 minute cameo for a loanee this week, in Sunderland’s 3-1 win at home to Birmingham.
David Datro Fofana:
Since the attitude suspension for DDF he has come back with a reinvigorated attitude and performances have improved!
He got his first competitive goal for Union Berlin v Napoli away in the champions league last week, a really tidy finish on the rebound. (video below) skip to 1:30.
He completed the full 90 minutes, 82% passes, created 3 chances, has 2/3 shots on target, had 40 touches, made 4/5 successful dribbles, created 3 chances, made 9 defensive actions and won 11 of 30 duels (11 of the lost duels were aerial) and he also drew 3 fouls.
They came up against the in form Leverkusen at the weekend and as there league form suggests, they got battered.
He played 78 minutes, completed 88% of his passes, had 40 touches, completed 3/4 dribbles, made 4 defensive actions and won 9/18 duels.
Angelo Gabriel:
No fixture for Angelo’s Strasbourg this weekend.
Dion Rankine: (from Football London)
The Exeter loanee is finally close to a return from injury but continues his rehabilitation at Chelsea. He is set to join back up with Exeter this week.
Thanks for reading.
Luke Rushbrook
DDF fairly regularly has the most dribbles completed (and often the most failed) in a game.
I hope he gets another decent loan after this season, assuming he continues to improve like he has lately. His highlights are always very exciting.
Nice round up Luke😁👍 as always
