Ladies and Gents,
Welcome to the first of a new series of articles I will be writing each week.
I will now be releasing the weekly loan (selected players) round-up segment, it will be a quick overview of what each of the below players had been up to in the previous week.
This article is going to be slightly more detailed as we will catch up with what each of these players have been up to so far this season. Each week I will also pick one player to do a separate report and go into a little more detail of their performance, the statistics behind it and who they are developing.
Gaga Slonina:
On loan at KAS Eupen in the Belgian Pro League, Gaga has played just the 5 games so far, keeping 1 clean sheet and getting over a 7/10 match rating on 3 occassions. We at SPTC are hearing that Gaga has really been impressing and has adapted well to life in Belgium.
Bashir Humphreys:
Bash only got his move to Swansea on deadline day and has only been eligible for two squads so far, the first of which he was an unused sub after just 2 days of training, 3 days later he started away against QPR in a 1-1 draw, playing the full 90 minutes and getting a 7.2 match rating.
Zak Sturge:
Zak is on loan at Peterborough for the season, he has started just once in his first 4 appearances. That was a 2-0 win v local rivals Cambridge in which he scored a 7.5/10 match rating. 3 sub appearance mean he has featured in every game since he signed.
Andrey Santos:
Lots of people seem to be worried about this move, but I am fairly calm. Poch made it abundantly clear that Andrey was only to go on loan if he was going to get lots of minutes, he has only been available for 2 out of the 4 squads since he signed for Forest. In which he started and played 90 minutes against Burnley in the Carabao Cup, he was then an unused sub against Burnley on Monday.
Cesare Casadei:
Leicester were after Casadei for the entirety of the summer, although he only ended up joining 10 days before the window closed, since then he has been available for all 4 Championship games, starting all from the bench, but making positive impacts with 1 goal so far. He has also played the full 9o mins in the Carabao Cup, picking up an assist.
Tino Anjorin:
One of the most talented players to come out of Cobham in recent years it is heartbreaking to see the injuries this young man has had to face in such a young career, but he is BACK! After a year on the sidelines he has made two substitute appearances in the last couple of days for Portsmouth which is excellent to see.
Omari Hutchinson:
On loan at my local club Ipswich Town, this was a great choice of loan for Omari, in a team that suits his style of play and will get the chances he warrants from an excellent young manager, whilst getting the oppurtunity to learn from some experience pros and internationals.
He has featured in all 7 league games so far, with his first start coming just last night, in which he scored the winner in a tough away fixture v Southampton (more to come tomorrow in a separate article).
Harvey Vale:
Vale has made 6 appearances for Bristol Rovers already with just 2 of those being starts, he has already contributed with a goal and an assist.
He has also been very versatile for them so far, playing LW, RW, LB & LWB. He is averaging a rating of 7/10 for his first 6 appearances in a hit and miss L1 team.
Charlie Webster:
Charlie has had to bide his time in Holland so far, having been limited to two sub appearances in the first 4 fixtures. He had been training incredibly according to the Heerenveen manager and ultimately got his chance to start.
He got off to a flyer on his full debut, scoring just before half time, unfortunately 12 minutes in to the second half he was shown a straight Red for a clumsy challenge. I am sure he will turn it around and play a huge part for a potentially relegation threatened side.
Diego Moreira:
Like Bash Humphreys, Moreira got his loan move on deadline day, to France and OL this time, he has only been eligible and involved in one squad since arriving, making a 15-minute cameo off the bench, a good loan move for the raw talent.
Mason Burstow:
Mason has only been eligible for one squad since joining, in which he started and played 65 minutes of Sunderland’s win v QPR. He got a decent match rating of 65 mins and has the potential to keep his starting place tonight v Blackburn (A).
David Datro Fofana:
DDF has started 4 of the first 5 domestic games for Union Berlin this season, appearing from the bench in the other, no goal to his name yet, but he has performed well so far, with an average rating of 6.9/10. He had an excellent pre-season with 5 G/A in 6 games.
He potentially has the biggest game of his young career so far, tonight, at the Bernabeu v Real Madrid, if he plays I will add a section to my individual report that is being released tomorrow.
Angelo Gabriel:
A slow start to life in France for Angelo with the player being limited to 3 bench appearance in the first 4 fixtures. Patrick Viera has been awaiting for returning injured players to change his formation to a 4-2-3-1, which suits Angelo a lot better from the RW position.
Since the formation change he has played 90 minutes in a friendly during the international break and in their last league fixture v Montpellier, which he scored an 8.3/10 rating and was involved with both goal in the 2-2 draw, although not getting an ‘official G/A’ he was heavily involved.
Dion Rankine
Dion had an excellent start to life in Exeter starting 7 of the first 8 domestic games and coming on at HT in the other until unfortunately he picked up an injury against Burton just before the international break.
The only info I can find on this injury so far is the Exeter manager saying “he will be out for a while” which is a shame as he had started excellently, averaging 6.7/10 so far.
I hope you all enjoyed this, it will be a shorter, weekly segment going forward and un update on all of the above players.
