Good Afternoon Ladies and Gents,
The Loan Army is fully loaded now and we have a bumper edition for you this week!
Teddy Sharman-Lowe (Doncaster Rovers) - Teddy has started 2 further league games since my last report, winning both and keeping one clean sheet. He is firmly the no1 at Doncaster this season, he has sat out both cup games in recent weeks.
Ted Curd (Hampton & Richmond) - 2 clean sheets from the last 4 games for Ted and his side, they won both games 1-0 and narrowly lost the other 2 games. As always limited info on this game and division
Eddie Beach (Crawley Town) - Eddie is yet to win his place in the team and is firmly the no2 GK at Crawley currently. However, the no1 GK is in AWFUL form averaging 5.8/10 in the last 3 games, conceding 8 goals in the process. Could be a chance for Eddie coming, he will need to take it to displace the current no1.
Gaga Slonina (Barnsley) - Gaga is having a fantastic time at Barnsley currently and I think we have undersold him, he should be in the championship in my opinion. His time have won 2 and drawn 1 of the last 3 and he has kept 2 clean sheets in that period.
Alfie Gilchrist (Sheffield United) - Alfie has been MOTM in his last 2 appearances for Sheffield United, he unfortunately came off after 59 minutes in the last game with an injury, hopefully a minor one.
Dylan Williams (Burton Albion) - Dylan has started once and been on the bench once in the last 2 games, he started the first, played the full 90 and had a solid game, rated 7/10. In the second he was on the bench and came on for the final 12 minutes away to Northampton.
Aaron Anselmino (Boca Juniors) - Anselmino is firmly back from his injury and back playing for Boca, he has completed 90 mins in both of the last 2 games, hes accumulated a combined 7/10 across the 2 games and has helped his side win one and draw one.
Caleb Wiley (RC Strasbourg) - Caleb has started once and come off the bench once in the last 2 games, he started and played 80 minutes v Rennes in a 3-1 home win, he performed well and was a threat up and down the left hand side. He then started the game on the bench v Lyon in a crazy game where his side unluckily lost 4-3, he was subbed on at half time in this match and played the entire 2nd half.
Andrey Santos (RC Strasbourg) - Andrey Santos has been MOTM in both of his appearances so far this season and he has scored in each game, a stunning start to his first full season at Strasbourg and his time under Liam Rosenior, this boy is going to be a star and I can see a world where he comes in and makes a huge impact at Chelsea next season.
Bashir Humphreys (Burnley) - Bash has been an unused sub in both league games so far for Burnley, he did play the full 90 away at Wolves in the Carabao Cup and had a solid game in their 2-0 defeat, he has been praised for his training level and I imagine will break into the team soon.
Lesley Ugochukwu (Southampton) - Lesley played 64 minutes in last weeks Carabao Cup game v Cardiff where he played really well and got some good plaudits from Saints fans, he will no doubt break into the league 11 soon. He has been unused twice in the league so far. As usual with a relegation threatened side they will end up chopping and changing their starting team until they find a hard to beat team, for me Lesley will be centre to that
Armando Broja (Everton) - Armando joined Everton late on deadline day and will feature once he returns from a minor foot injury, he should be back by mid October at the latest.
Kendry Paez (Independiente del Valle) - Kendry as always has been brilliant in recent weeks, he has accumulated a 7.6/10 rating for his last 5 fixtures, socring twice and winning 4 from 5 games.
Estevao Willian (Palmeiras) - This kid is LEGIT!!! He has scored 3 goals, had 3 MOTM’s and accumulated an 8.4/10 rating for his last 5 fixtures. He is so special, you can see why every reputable person in South American / Brazilian football is raving about this kid. WOW
Djordje Petrovic - (Strasbourg) - Djordje joined Strasbourg on deadline day and will look to take the no1 spot after the international break.
Trevoh Chalobah (Crystal Palace) - Trev joined Palace on deadline day and will look to his spot in the team after the international break. He is joining a line of successful Chelsea loanees at Crystal Palace and will look to emulate the likes of RLC and Gallagher who have been fan favourites in their spells there.
Ronnie Stutter (Burton Albion) - Ronnie joined Burton on deadline day and will look to break into the 11 instantly.
Leo Castledine (Shrewsbury Town) - Leo joined Shrewsbury and started immediately, he played 82 mins in his first game with only one days training before it, then followed that up with an 8.5/10 and a goal in his second appearance v Leyton Orient.
Just to confirm I am not updating on Raheem Sterling or Kepa Arrizabalaga on purpose.
Thanks for reading.
Luke Rushbrook
great article Luke. Wish we could have used Championship loans for people like Casadei, DDF, Guiu, Matos and Vale. Its probably the best place to develop players. They all would have got decent minutes there. Missed opportunity.
Thanks Luke always a really good read.
