Good afternoon Ladies and Gents!
Omari Hutchinson is going to the very top!!! He is an incredibly exciting talent and one I am absolutely over the moon belongs to Chelsea Football Club.
For the first time since his loan move to Ipswich I got to see him play live and in the flesh! He certainly did not disappoint, he was involved from minute one until he come off.
Ipswich started the game very poorly as did Wolves, but somehow Wolves ended up 2-0 ahead in under 15 mins. Even at that point I turnt to my friend and said “They’re still in this” less than 10 minutes later Omari went through one-on-one on his weaker foot and smashed it home!!
At that point, with the atmosphere in the ground and the confidence of the players there was only going to be one out come. Wolves were woeful from start to finish. Ipswich are safely through to the next round, with a home fixture v Fulham, another PL scalp? I will be at that game too.
On to Omari’s individual performance…….

The Eye Test:
Omari lined up on the left of a 3 behind the striker, which took me slightly by surprise, but after 10 minutes I could see he was given a free role and was popping up in all sorts of areas.
The first thing that really caught my eye was his confidence to demand the ball, to me that always shows a player in form and feeling good about their game. He was constantly trying to find pockets of space to receive the ball and was visibly a little frustrated when he got in to a good position and didn’t receive it (not in an arrogant way).
His vision was excellent, his awareness of over lapping and under lapping runs was really good and his overall attacking performance was very good and tidy!
The other thing that really impressed me was his work rate, intensity in defending and attitude, he was constantly trying to help defensively, even sometimes when he wasnt necessarily needed. The standout defensive moment was when there was a loose ball and Matt Doherty was sprinting towards it and usually a smaller and younger player would probably avoid that challenge, but not Omari, he ran at the ball equally as hard and but in a massive challenge which got his side the ball back, impressed!!
The Facts:
The fact of the matter is, he will not be a guaranteed starter for every game unless there are injuries or big dips in form, Ipswich have a very strong attack and Kieran McKenna is a very loyal manager, BUT!, Omari will continue to get lots of minutes in rotation and as a substitute. Most EFL teams will be playing weekend and midweek through to the new year now and little cup runs like this will only help Omari develop further.
He is developing at a very quick rate already and Chelsea have chose the best loan for him, cannot wait to see him play live again!

I loved this loan move when it was first announced. My dads best mate is an Ipswich season ticket holder and had sung Mckenna’s praises with how he develops players and the type of football he plays, knew it would suit Omari down to the ground.
Good loan move for Omari. Our RW spot looks so stacked and heavily competitive for the upcoming seasons 😅
