Liam Delap drops classic 9 performance, Time to invest in Josh Acheampong, Tosin Adarabioyo quietly steps up as consistent leader, FAN VIEW: "I can’t help but feel really envious towards Liverpool"...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Thursday 26th June 2025!
Morning all,
Hope you’re having a good week so far!
Chelsea are into the knockout stages of the Club World Cup and will now face Benfica at 9pm this coming Saturday night - one I will be able to watch!
The transfer news, other than Jamie Gittens noise, is still all very quiet for now, but we expect things to heat up this summer fairly soon but perhaps after the CWC.
I reflected on the ES Tunis game in some articles today after an impressive 3-0 win for the boys.
Liam Delap grabbed his first goal for Chelsea and it was a classic 9 performance from him. This is something we have sorely missed at this football club. Words on that here.
Another player who deserves his flowers is Tosin Adarabioyo. I think in the last two months at least, he’s been one of our best and most consistent players. And against ES Tunis, he not only got Man of the Match but he also wore the captain's armband for a short time. Some praise for Tosin here.
It’s time to invest in Josh Acheampong and that for me only means one thing - selling Malo Gusto. Josh was superb against ES Tunis even at left back, and I don’t want to see him loaned out, I want to see him invested in this season. Words on that situation here.
Finally, a community debate. I honed in on some comments made on our live blog earlier this week and I loved it - a good respectful debate with some really good points. I agree with pretty much everything said in here regarding Liverpool’s model and how well they are doing it.
Yesterday’s live blog can be found here where we cover all of your general Chelsea news and transfer rumours from across the last 24 hours in the same place.
See you all on the next live blog from around 8.30am today!
Peace, Si.
