LATEST! Three sourced articles on Moises Caicedo, Cucurella/Chilwell/Maatsen, and Pochettino looking at squad fillers, as well as latest Lead Podcast Host polls, and news roundups...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Wednesday 12th July 2023!
Morning all,
We are another day closer to heading to our USA tour and our midfield is still super light. So much so that I think I could even get the callup pretty soon (I do play as a 6 😅).
In all seriousness though, I understand some worries and frustrations in the comments section this week. Ideally we all want to see at least our priority signing in our priority position to be able to join us on our pre-season tour, but things have been ‘struggling’ along there. I have a big sourced article on the Moises Caicedo pursuit here, which has well and truly turned into a saga now.
The next sourced article is surrounding left backs and the situation there. There are currently three first team left backs, four if you include Lewis Hall, training with the main group under Mauricio Pochettino. So a decision needs to be made there, and I have the inside scoop on that here.
The final sourced article of the day is on more decisions that Pochettino is looking to make, and there are two or three players currently training under him that he intends to have a close look at with a view to staying in his squad for the pending season. Some names to consider in here.
The search for a new Lead Podcast Host continues and just like Pochettino has a few big decisions to get right this summer, so do I! But I’m asking for your help all week and continue to need your help in the form of some polls here. Your opinions truly matter here, you are the listeners after all :)
Finally, the live blog is the place to get all your latest Chelsea news in the same place, as well as extra sourced snippets that I throw in throughout the day. Done deals, quotes, and the latest transfer news can all be found in here.
Massive thanks to Luke who filled in for me yesterday afternoon on the live blog. Doing a great job for us here already.
Next live blog will be fired up from around 8am today as per usual.
Peace, Si.
