The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Friday 23rd June 2023!
Morning all,
Happy weekend! It marks the end of a very busy week for Chelsea sorting outgoing sales, and the plan now once those are all made official is to push on with arrivals.
We’ve had loads of sourced info going out this week and kept up with all the stories from all the outlets. We do that every day in the live blog, and you can read the latest one here to gathering up all your Chelsea news from the last 24 hours. This also includes the news that Chelsea owners aka BlueCo have bought a majority stake in French football club, Strasbourg, as part of the multi-club model begins! Moises Caicedo, Diogo Costa, and Christian Pulisic sourced news in this as well.
It looks quite likely now that Chelsea are going to be losing both Kai Havertz and Mason Mount this summer, and I’ve written more on my updated thoughts on losing Mount below. But if both go, Chelsea have a shortlist to replace them - and I have a sourced article here with some priority names.
As promised, here is my take on the Mount situation and just like this whole story, I have taken a little bit of a u-turn on my stance now, knowing that it seems Mount IS now actively pushing to leave our club. Clue - IF true, show him the door. Always club over any individual.
As I said above, outgoings have been smashed through this week as the club look to make those all important transactions before the end of this month. With that in mind, let’s look at how our squad is taking shape already for next season here and what we have left to do/what could still happen.
Finally, we have sent our community messages in our polls here this week and we collectively say Chelsea must target a No.1, another ST as well as Nicolas Jackson, and we should pip Arsenal/Man City to Declan Rice!!
Also, if you missed yesterday’s Podcast with Path (@CFCParee) then it’s another absolute must listen with some key and very interesting inside info delivered by Parth. Check it out here.
As always, I’ll jump on the Substack chat App this weekend if I have anything to report, anything major or significant goes down, or if there’s anything I feel I really need to speak on. Otherwise, I’ll see you all here again on the site on Sunday!
Have a great weekend!
Peace, Si.
I did watch the England U21s yesterday and Colwill who looks at home in defense and a level above those around him and Noni Madueke who looked like the player we thought we’d bought and again a level above the others.
Final united bid for mount is in
