The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Monday 4th September 2023!
Morning all,
Well, we can finally sit and take a long breath whilst reflecting on a long and dramatic summer transfer window that bought all the emotions out in all of us! There was exciting times, frustrating times, happy times, sad times, and everything else in between. But now it’s over and now is the time to reflect, and time to rest!
I have a bumper article out reviewing the window in it’s entirety here to start the day. In this I give my views, rate the window, give my prediction for where we will finish in the league this season, put out the facts and figures in terms of expenditure, list our whole squad, and generally reflect on a crazy three months plus!
My next article goes hand in hand with the above one and it’s more visually based. I love to put a good formation together, you guys know that. So of course I have thrown three starting Xl’s together here with our finished squad and what it looks like. We have a first and second string squad in this, as well as a third string that features some stragglers with the larger squad we have been left with. Well worth checking out.
We had a game on Saturday as well so as usual I have completed my debrief article here which gives my verdict on the game, the performance, and also each individual player as well as rating them. Unfortunately its a gloomy one after a home defeat to Nottingham Forest, a game we must be winning regardless of it being a new new and young squad.
Although the summer transfer window is closed, the hard work and plans never stop at our club. I know many of you fancy a bit of a break from transfer news now and to be honest, so do I. But as always, my promise is to put out any sourced info I get given and I have done just that in here. Operation Ivan Toney begins….
Finally for this newsletter, I have rounded up all the latest general Chelsea news from the weekend in here, so that you guys do not miss a thing!
I’ll still be running daily live blogs even though the transfer window has closed. But don’t expect them to be as busy or as frequent with less transfer news floating around. I’ll do my best though to add in questions and polls for you all to get involved with and to keep it interesting and entertaining. You guys are always welcome to use the comment section as a place to chat and speak about Chelsea, or anything you want really! This space is your space too! I’ll have the latest live blog running from 8am today but I am actually out for most of this morning so I wont really be on it until I get back this afternoon. The articles will be out later this afternoon today as well rather than the usual 1pm time.
Thanks everyone for an incredible summer in this community. Welcome to all new subscribers. The content will still be pumping out here regardless of a transfer window or not, with so much still happening in the wonderful world of Chelsea. So do make sure you stick around here! You’re very much welcome in this safe Chelsea community that we all appreciate so much away from the hostile place that Twitter/X can be.
Peace, Si.
